Bovine Tuberculosis Antibody Rapid Test

The test is based on an immunochromatographic test, to detect antibodies against bovine tuberculosis in bovine serum, plasma and whole blood. The test is fast, accurate and easy to use.

PRECAUTIONS

  • This kit is specifically designed to detect Bovine Tuberculosis antibodies in bovine serum. Make sure you fully understand its intended use before proceeding.
  • Carefully inspect the kit package and thoroughly read these instructions to verify the kit’s validity and condition. Only use an intact and undamaged kit.
  • If any damage or leakage is found, contact your vendor immediately for a replacement. Do not use the kit unless the vendor authorizes its use.
  • Treat all samples as potentially infectious, adhering strictly to local laws and regulations. Properly dispose of used test kits and tested samples to prevent contamination.
  • Use the test cassette and buffer within 5 minutes after opening the foil package. Do not open the package until you are ready to perform the test.
  • Do not use components from other sources, as this will compromise the test results.
  • The kit is intended for single use only. Do not attempt to reuse any components.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

  • 10 Test Devices
  • 10 Sample Buffers
  • 10 Disposable Pipettes
  • Instruction Manual

TEST PROCEDURE:

Sample Preparation:

  • Serum: Use directly as the test sample.
  • Whole Blood: Centrifuge at 3000 rpm for 3-5 minutes or store at 4°C overnight, then use the supernatant as the test sample.

Test Application:

  • The test takes less than 15 minutes. Plan accordingly.
  • If the sample has been refrigerated, bring it to room temperature for approximately 30 minutes before testing.
  • Gather the necessary test cassette and a plastic pipette (a 100 µl micropipette can also be used).
  • Open the foil package and use the pipette to add 10 µl of serum to the sample well on the cassette, one drop at a time. Wait for 1 minute.
  • Add 3 drops of sample buffer to the sample well on the cassette and observe the result within 15-20 minutes.
  • Results observed after 20 minutes may not be accurate.

RESULT INTERPRETATION:

Negative Result:

  • Control Line (C): A visible line in the control region (C) indicates the test has worked properly.
  • Test Line (T): No line appears in the test region (T), indicating the absence of Bovine Tuberculosis antibodies. This configuration signifies a negative result for Bovine Tuberculosis antibodies.

Positive Result:

  • Control Line (C): A visible line in the control region (C) confirms the test's functionality.
  • Test Line (T): A visible line appears in both the control (C) and test (T) regions, indicating the presence of Bovine Tuberculosis antibodies. This configuration signifies a positive result for Bovine Tuberculosis antibodies.

Invalid Result:

  • No Control Line (C): If there's no visible line in the control region (C), the test is considered invalid. This may suggest an error in the testing process or a faulty test kit.

NOTE:

  • Follow the instructions precisely from the insert included in the kit.
  • Results should be interpreted by a qualified veterinarian familiar with the test and Bovine Tuberculosis infections in cattle.
